Insanely Flavorful Ales

About

We are a relatively new craft brewery in New Jersey.  We are located in Middlesex, NJ and our production brewery consists of a custom 10 BBL brewing system with 2 10 BBL fermenters, 4 30 BBL fermenters, 1 15 BBL bright beer tank, and 1 30 BBL bright beer tank.  Hunterdon distributes our beers to over 600 bars and restaurants throughout the state. We produce a number of core beers, but our focus is on producing a variety of seasonally inspired “insanely flavorful ales” that are on tap mainly in our tasting room. Thanks for checking in and please check back soon.

    Double Demented is fabulous!
very similar to Heady Topper, Alchemist Brewing Co., Vt

Thank you very much. While our cans do not need to be refrigerated, we recommend doing so especially for our hoppy beers. Hops flavors and aromas are better preserved at lower temperatures.

Looking to visit this weekend – huge fan of the beer. Was going to come with my wife and daughter (1 year old). No rules against bringing the little one to the tasting room, right?

    1. Reply

Absolutely not. We are family friendly!

I met a few of your staff at the Cheers in Chester this past Saturday. GREAT people! I only 3.5 miles away and for no good reason, I haven’t been there yet. I tried Gallows Hill for the first time at The Old Bay in New Brunswick and I am hooked. I will definitely attend your Second Anniversary Party in August. Hopefully I’ll see some of the same staff. I think your beer is phenomenal! I’ll definitely be stopping in again and again!

Just tried your beer for the first time– Scarlet Night at 22 West Tap and Grill.. Really really good. Can I buy it in stores? At your brewery? Where? Where? Where? Please answer quickly…I’m quite thirsty.

    1. Reply

We have Scarlet Night available at the brewery for growler and crowler fills. We’re out of cans at the brewery at the moment, but there are a number of liquor stores throughout the state that should have them in stock. Check out the find us page on our web site and select Scarlet Night – Packaged. That will show you all of the retailers who have purchased these cans.

How do your tours work? I will be visiting from out of state for a wedding and will be close by and am planning to visit. However, I understand that NJ requires a tour prior to consuming on-site. Is this correct, and if so, how often do the tours occur?

    1. Reply

Everyone who visits must do a tour before consuming any beer on site. We do tours as you come in so no need to schedule a time. Our tasting room hours are noon to 10pm daily.

Do you serve any food? Any pictures of the tasting room on the site somewhere? Any TVs? Is it a bar feel or just a bunch of seats? If it is crowded do people have to stand sometimes?

    1. Reply

      Hi Don…
We do not serve food. We are a standard tasting room serving our own beer and beer alone. We do not have pictures of the tasting room on the website. We have a jukebox TV feature called RockBot where you can purchase music to listen during your visit. We have two other TVs that are used for promotions purposes only. We do not air games, tv, or movies in the tasting room by accordance of the guidelines given by the NJCB. We have a bar with 8 stools and plenty of standing room.

      Hope this helps.

I have been very psyched for this brewery to open, since it’s about ten minutes away from me. Anyway, I filled a half growler at a local store today’s and just had my first of this beer. It pours pretty dark, a nice orangish amber color.

Yes. Our current pricing varies from $70-$80 depending on the beer. We also require a $50 cash deposit on the keg.

We still don’t have a hard date set for our grand opening. There is a possibility that we will be open that weekend, but it is looking more like the weekend after. We’ll be updating the web site and social media as we get closer. We look forward to seeing you at the brewery.
